Coaching Agreement & Terms and Conditions
GEM Life Coaching
This Coaching Agreement is entered into whereby the Coach (“Coach”) agrees to provide Coaching Services for the Client (“Client”) focusing on the topics, outcomes, goals and personal development areas discussed and agreed upon throughout the coaching process.
Description of Coaching
Coaching is a partnership between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process designed to inspire the Client to maximise their personal and professional potential. Coaching is intended to support the development of goals, increased self-awareness, mindset growth, behavioural change, and aligned action.
Coaching may include a range of modalities and tools, including but not limited to:
Life Coaching
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
Hypnosis
Matrix Therapy
DISC Behaviour Profiling
Goal Setting and Personal Development Frameworks
The specific tools and processes used will depend on the Client’s goals, readiness, and Coaching Program selected.
COACH–CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
The Coach agrees to maintain the ethics and standards of behaviour established by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). International Coaching Federation
The Client understands and agrees that:
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, psychology, psychiatry, or medical treatment.
Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or cure mental health conditions or medical conditions.
The Coach is not acting as a medical practitioner or licensed mental health professional.
The Client is fully responsible for their own decisions, actions, wellbeing, and results throughout the coaching process.
The Client acknowledges that coaching may involve various areas of life including:
relationships
career
finances
mindset
confidence
habits
health
personal growth
emotional wellbeing
The Client accepts full responsibility for implementing any strategies, insights, or actions discussed during coaching.
The Client agrees to:
communicate honestly and openly
be open to feedback and support
actively participate in the coaching process
create the time and energy required to engage fully
complete agreed homework/tasks where relevant
To support productive coaching sessions, the Client agrees to:
minimise distractions during sessions
have phones off or away where possible
attend sessions on time
have any required resources or client guides available during online sessions
FEES & PAYMENT TERMS
Coaching programs are purchased as a full program commitment and not as individual sessions.
Clients may choose to:
pay their Coaching Fee in full prior to commencement; or
enter into an agreed 3-month payment arrangement.
By selecting a payment plan option and making the initial payment, the Client agrees to complete all scheduled payments associated with the Coaching Program, regardless of attendance, participation, or early withdrawal from the program.
The Coach reserves the right to suspend coaching services where payments become overdue or fail to process.
In the unlikely event that the Coach terminates service provision, any fees paid for sessions not yet delivered will be refunded in full within 48 hours of written notice of termination.
SESSION DURATION & SCHEDULING
Pre-learning modules are required to be completed prior to each coaching session. These modules have been designed to allow Clients to complete foundational learning and reflective work in their own time, creating a more effective and time-efficient coaching experience.
Modules will vary in length but will generally run for approximately 20–30 minutes.
1:1 coaching sessions will run for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the focus and activities involved within the session.
Scheduling
Please schedule your sessions using the booking link provided.
Sessions are generally scheduled on a fortnightly basis. If a Client is unable to attend within the next fortnight due to holidays, work commitments, or unforeseen circumstances, please communicate directly with your Coach to discuss alternative arrangements.
Your Coach will also communicate any scheduling changes or upcoming unavailability due to trainings, events, or other commitments.
If there is a preferred session time outside of those available within the booking link, please contact your Coach, as alternative arrangements may be available.
Clients are required to provide a minimum of 48 hours notice in writing if needing to cancel or reschedule a session.
Where a Client fails to attend a confirmed coaching session or provides less than 48 hours notice, the session may be forfeited at the discretion of the Coach.
Please arrive on time for all sessions. Additional time may not be available where a Client arrives late.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds will not be issued where:
the Client fails to attend a pre-confirmed session
the Client cancels with less than 48 hours notice
the Client chooses to discontinue a Coaching Program after commencement
coaching sessions have already been delivered
At the discretion of the Coach, alternative arrangements or partial refunds may be considered depending on circumstances.
If the Coach cancels a coaching session, a new session time will be arranged.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The coaching relationship and all information shared by the Client during the coaching process will remain confidential in accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics.
However, the Client acknowledges that coaching is not a legally confidential relationship in the same way as medical or legal professions.
Confidential information may be disclosed where:
required by law
there is risk of harm to the Client or others
illegal activity is disclosed
disclosure is otherwise legally required
The Coach agrees not to disclose the Client’s identity or information without written consent unless required under the circumstances outlined above.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
Gemma Tschiderer of GEM Life Coaching holds a current and valid Working With Children Check.
All sessions involving children and young people are conducted in a safe, professional, and supportive manner in line with relevant guidelines and standards.

PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT
(For Clients Under 18 Years of Age)
If the Client is under the age of 18, this Agreement must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
By signing this Agreement, the parent/guardian:
gives consent for the young person to participate in coaching services with GEM Life Coaching
understands that coaching is intended to support personal growth, confidence, mindset, and wellbeing
acknowledges that coaching is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment
understands that outcomes depend on the Client’s own participation and engagement
AGREEMENT ACCEPTANCE
By proceeding with payment for any GEM Life Coaching Coaching Program, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined within this Coaching Agreement.
Payment of an invoice or commencement of a payment plan constitutes acceptance of this Agreement in full.
